Sarah Pallett says she is extremely concerned that Plan Change 14 appears to be substantively different from what was proposed and notified however as submissions have now closed she says it's up to the independent hearings panel to make a determination on the plan change. 

It is no secret that New Zealand has a serious housing shortage says Pallett.

“Evidence shows removing overly restrictive planning rules leads to more affordable homes being built. In response to this the Government took steps to address this issue by introducing medium density residential standards.”

However, in an email to an RBK member, Pallett has admitted she is concerned residents who did not submit on the original plans are unable to submit on the latest version, despite the substantive changes it appears to propose.
