Another petition, running ever since the government's flawed intensification legislation was passed back in mid-2022, calls on the government and Christchurch City Council to come up with a plan to
- increase housing supply in the heart of the city
- protect the Christchurch tree canopy
- stop free-for-all suburban intensification
- re-purpose under utilised commercial and mixed use areas for housing
- protect productive farmland
