RBK Residents AssocNew Zealand

Combined Christchurch residents’ groups formally asked the Independent Hearings Panel to pause PC14 but the request has essentially been dismissed with the Panel stating yesterday that the combined group was not itself a submitter on PC14 so does not have any standing to request an adjournment or delay. It also appeared to dismiss some residents’ groups as irrelevant.
This just about sums up what we ordinary residents of Christchurch have stacked against us around this rushed (the IHP calls it 'streamlined') process, including the late changes made by the city council.
The IHP’s full reply (along with the original residents’ letter) can be viewed at https://tinyurl.com/mr2f8d6w
- We still want the PC14 process to be paused until a fair way forward can be agreed.
- We seeking time and resources to reasonably participate in this incredibly complex PC14 process.
- We also need a proper social impact report (not just a desktop report) on PC14 prepared and reflected in the proposal.
