Here is a comment typical of what we are getting from a few people who disagree with our stand.

"I’m really disappointed that you are against these tall buildings. We need more densification in the city and it seems that all you are doing is trying to keep the status quo and prevent any changes at all."

Wrong.  We recognise the need to densify our city to prevent us using productive farmland and to promote sustainability - but these changes provide enough high and medium density land to cater for a level of population growth we won't see for another 150 years.

The new version of PC14 gives private investors and developers freedom to decide how our suburbs will look for generations to come, at the expense of our CBD.  That's irresponsible.

Is that what we want?  We need to push pause and have a conversation.
