Hi All,

First off, a big thank you to each of you for signing the petition in support of the Mordialloc Creek underpass. Your support means a lot!

In 2022, the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) decided to close the underpass without consulting the community or informing Kingston City Council. They didn’t even know about the large aquatic centre being built just 800 meters away. We understand the reasons for the closure — the extension of the stabling yard railway lines — but the community has spoken loud and clear: we need this underpass replaced.

At the request of Councillor Tess Law I have sent our signatures to Kingston Council for their April Ordinary Council Meeting where there will be a Notice of Motion brought to Council by Cllr Tess for a resolution to address the underpass closure on Mon 28th of April 2025. 

This is a publicly accessible Ordinary Council meeting where a majority vote is required to reach resolution. Members of the community can attend in person, watch the livestream or the recording will be available 1-2 days after the chamber meeting. I encourage people attend in person or watch/listen online if you are interested.
