Save Qantas, restore public confidence and safety in our iconic Australian airline
The issue
The aviation sector and travelling public have been let down by the leadership team at Qantas over many years. We are now becoming aware of the complete degradation of our national carrier. The ongoing concerns and admissions relating to the relationships with government, governance and commercial operations which are now being exposed by the ACCC and through numerous Senate inquiries are staggering.
Australian's and travellers all over the globe have lost confidence in Qantas. The airline is plagued by scandals, operational concerns including maintenance of its fleet, staff morale and reports of numerous staff who are unwell. The executive team and Qantas board have pushed everything from mandatory covid jabs on staff, unlawfully sacking workers and getting involved in divisive political messaging on the Voice to parliament. The Qantas board are so out of touch with reality they have just endorsed a hefty pay rise for themselves, despite the obvious angst in Australia on how this brand has been trashed.
Help save our national carrier and demand the current board and executive team resign immediately and appoint Squadron Leader Derek Fox as Chief Executive. Derek is an RAAF veteran who served in Vietnam, is a highly skilled and experienced airline pilot with experience in many organisations such as Cathay Pacific and Jetstar. He is former Chief Executive and Chief Pilot of Tiger Airways. Derek has not only served our country in defence, but has also worked as a Flight Operations Inspector with our regulator CASA. He is currently the flight commander of 100 Squadron in RAAF at Point Cook. I have spoken with Derek and he is willing to assist Qantas get out of this hole and once again become one of the the worlds leading airlines. "If anyone can make an airline work... It's those who know and love aviation... I saw my own family Airline die in the hands of University graduates...for the love of money... now there is no airline anymore. Leave aviation to those who know... it's about people...only good people can and will make Qantas work again. Captain Fox gets my vote-Captain Wendy Hazelton."
