Save Poker at Poker Palace and Keep Our Local Poker Community Alive

The Issue

Who is impacted?

For over 50 years, Poker Palace in North Las Vegas has been the home of locals who love poker. It is not just about cards. It is about friendships, loyalty, and a true community that keeps coming back. Closing the poker room would strip away one of the last affordable poker homes left in Las Vegas.

What is at stake?

Poker Palace is not just another casino. Its name and history are tied to poker. If poker disappears, so does the identity of this property. Slots may bring quick profits, but poker brings something more valuable: players who stay for hours, spend across the property, and return week after week. Without poker, that loyalty and community will be lost, and once it is gone, it will not come back.

Why is now the time to act?

The poker room is set to close September 30 before reopening in March. This is our only chance to speak up and show Truckee Gaming and CEO Ferenc Szony that poker must remain part of Poker Palace’s future. Even a few tables would keep this legacy alive. If we do not act now, Poker Palace risks becoming just another slot house instead of the community landmark locals have supported for decades.
