Good evening supporters, and thank you for the time, energy, and effort you all contributed as we collectively presented our position opposing the proposal for the Pleasant Hill City Council to adopt the 2023-2031 housing element.

Prior to this evenings Public Hearing, a 60 page document was submitted for public record representing our petition’s cause and requests of the City Council. Our petition was also represented in-person directly to the City Council during the public comment of tonight’s meeting.

I regret to inform you that tonight the Pleasant Hill City Council voted 5-0 in support of adopting the 2023-2031 Housing Element.

I will keep this petition open as a way to communicate updates related to our cause and to provide important links and resources as they become available in the upcoming days.

Over 2,200 signatures of support in such a short time is inspiring and representative of our wonderful community’s commitment to advocate for what we believe is best for the City of Pleasant Hill. Please remain inspired and know this is not the end.
