Public School closures are sweeping through our beautiful Southern Highlands, this time Penrose Public School. 

This is an incredibly short-sighted and a strategic mistake by the NSW Department of Education.

Penrose Public School is a vital part of our community fabric, offering a public education tailored for all pupils and attracting families to the village. 

Penrose is expected to grow over coming years to create a more sustainable village population, helping support local shops and services and viable school enrolments. The community-led Penrose Village Place Plan creates a strategic framework to plan for a growing population with new housing to sustain local services and amenities into the future.

Support the ongoing operation of Penrose Public School and contest any further school closures in the Southern Highlands as short-sighted strategic mistakes.
