BBMP Road Infra Dept falsely claims that Survey 54 is not a lake! For posting truth and facts on the social media, and exposing their LIES, the Govt has adopted draconian measure of filing a FALSE CASE against Sandeep Anirudhan, under unrelated criminal provisions of IPC 253 - RIOTING and IPC 286 - OBSTRUCTING PUBLIC SERVANT, in what is a desperate attempt to intimidate and silence citizens' voice!

The heat is getting unbearable for BBMP's Road Infrastructure (RI) Dept? The continuous posts on Social media and Mass Media is leading to public scrutiny of their illegal behaviour in building an illegal road on lake and rajakaluve buffer zones. This is causing so much discomfort to the stakeholders and vested interests in this scam, ie., the politicians and land mafia who desire this illegal road, that the engineers of BBMP Road Infrastructure Divn were ordered to take a draconic measure: To file a False Case with the Police, against Sandeep Anirudhan the prominent Campaigner for saving this lake. This is nothing but harassment of a law abiding citizen through abuse of the law!
LIES BUSTED: In the Complaint, the BBMP claims that there is no lake in existence. They just wished away Pattandur Agrahara Lake Survey 54, as if it were a bad dream! Wishful thinking, BBMP RI Divn; the Pattandur Agrahara lake is 1000 years old with recorded history, and all Govt documents and Public Records show the lake.

Apart from this, other depts of BBMP especially, the BBMP LAKES DEPT acknowledges that the Survey 54 is a Lake, they and other govt depts have issued notices to RI Dept making them aware that there is a lake and the project is violating the lake buffer zone. Our own acknowledged correspondence, citing official docs and maps have been submitted to them in 2021 itself. There is no way they can claim ignorance! And then there is an ongoing case in the HC WP 26097/2018 in which the Govt itself has claimed that Sy 54 is a lake. Then, how can an instrumentality of the Govt, the RI Dept in BBMP, claim otherwise?
So, they have lied in the complaint!! THIS IS PERJURY! Even ignorance is no excuse for a crime, but here, they are willing perpetrators of the crime.
And they are demanding that we do not expose their blatant lies on social media? They want us to stop putting our facts and truths in the public domain? Hell No! If anything, we will only get louder!
ATTEMPT TO INTIMIDATE:
However, the more important thing to note is that the FIR lodged invokes sections that are totally unrelated to the complaint. IPC 153 - Inciting Riots? and IPC 186 - Obstruction of Public Servants? Both are patently untrue. Nowhere has any kind of physical activity, much less rioting, been ever demanded. All that has been done is to showcase the goings on, and putting out the facts in the open. Is that incitement of Rioting? And if putting out the information is not allowing them to carry out illegal work, then how is it a bad thing? The BBMP ought not to have undertaken an illegal work in the first case, and if their illegal works are stopped, they cannot complain at all. In actuality, they have been carrying out the road formation with no obstruction for the past 7 months, they have destroyed the greenery, done earth work, and even laid gravel... Illegal work has been going on non-stop almost every single day. So, that is another untruth.
MISUSE OF LAW:
What is worse, even though the police complaint only claims that misinformation is being spread on social media, the police have invoked totally unrelated provisions such as IPC 153 - Inciting Riots, and 186 - obstruction to public servants, again apparently under intense pressure from politicians. So, the only intent of the GOVT is to file the FIR to scare citizens into silence, and to cover up the truth? It is to muzzle the voice of citizens. This is an attack on our Fundamental Right of Expression!
Our Response to the FIR Notice:
We have visited the Whitefield Police Station and submitted our official response to the FIR notice. We have also obtained the Station Bail: https://twitter.com/PattandurLake/status/1524712231736590336
We have clarified that the complaint itself is misconceived, as it is filled with lies, and false claims, and there is no justification for the FIR, and requested that the case be dropped immediately.
If the case is not dropped, we shall be moving court to quash the False Case, and then initiate criminal charges against the officials who have filed the false case.
So, the Govt thinks they can shut us up and carry on with their illegal and corrupt activities? They wish! We will only getting louder and louder!
