Petition to Maintain 20-Hour Local Police Support

We, the undersigned residents of West Pikeland Township, urge our Township Board to maintain the current level of 20-hour per day coverage by our West Pikeland Township Police Department for our community. Public safety is a fundamental necessity, and reducing local law enforcement coverage in favor of coverage by the PA state troopers would put our residents, businesses, and visitors at greater risk.

Our West Pikeland Township Police Department provides essential services, including crime prevention, emergency response, and community outreach, all of which contribute to the well-being and security of our neighborhoods. Any reduction in support by our West Pikeland Township Police Departent will lead to slower response times, increased crime, and a decline in the overall quality of life in our community.

While we recognize that maintaining this level of service may require an increase in local taxes, we firmly believe that ensuring our safety is a priority that justifies this investment. We trust that our local government will act in the best interest of its residents and allocate resources where they are most needed.

By signing this petition, we call on West Pikeland Township to uphold the current coverage by the West Pikeland Township Police Department and ensure that our community remains a safe and secure place for all.
