SAVE OUR VIPASSANA CENTRE!

Please sign this petition opposing resource consent being granted to the Auckland Shooting Club to operate a 5-bay shooting range between the hours of 6 am to 8 pm Monday to Saturday and from 9 am to 6 pm on Sunday 365 days of the year on a neighbouring property to the Dhamma Medini Vipassana Centre.  

Please do this before the 10th of January 2024!

The Dhamma Medini Vipassana Centre has been at 153 Burnside Road for 36 years. The site was chosen because of the tranquillity, peacefulness and silence. Thousands of students have attended the Dhamma Medini Vipassana Centre, and this number is growing. Courses are booked out, with long waitlists. All of this is done on a charitable basis!  

The noise gunshots make are jarring, startling, and unpredictable. The sound they make is incompatible with meditation. If the shooting club goes ahead, it may mean the end of the Dhamma Medini Vipassana Centre. So sign this petition and make your voice heard to SAVE YOUR VIPASSANA CENTRE!!
