The issue

For the past 45 years (maybe more) this ground has been more than just a playing field for us; it's a piece of our identity, an intrinsic part of our club's DNA. We have self funded and self maintained the whole cricket square over the years and even paid a rent on the facilities (fair to say, we uphold our end of the bargain). Our beloved school oval is a cherished home base for our C & D Graders and the budding cricketers in our junior grades. It's where generations have honed their skills, fostered friendships, and formed lifelong memories.

Unfortunately, Ingle Farm Primary School has made the devastating decision to revoke our access to our school home ground. Without it, we are left without a second turf oval, a loss that could shrink our thriving club from 4 senior teams & 5 junior teams to just 2 senior teams & 3 junior teams. This would severely impact player development, community spirit, club attraction, and opportunities for upcoming players, threatening the very fabric of our community-oriented club.

Turf wickets are incredibly difficult to come by, and this decision poses catastrophic consequences for our club’s future. The school oval has historically offered growth opportunities by nurturing young talents and providing an excellent cricket wicket to all that come across it.

We urge the Ingle Farm Primary School and its governing bodies to reconsider this decision and collaborate with us to find a solution that benefits both parties. Maintaining our access to the turf wicket will ensure our club can continue offering valuable sports opportunities to all ages and maintain our positive impact in the community.

Please join us in this crucial fight to preserve the school wicket for the sake of our club and our young cricketers. Your signature can make all the difference in safeguarding the future of the Ingle Farm District Cricket Club. Let's stand together and save our turf - POWER OF THE PEOPLE
