These Whittier “leaders” voted to flatten Parnell Park, chopping down 178 large, shady trees to build multiple soccer fields with ARTIFICIAL TURF… Residents are outraged!  The City could have partnered with schools for joint use of existing soccer fields. Converting Parnell Park primarily to an athletic complex is costing $22 million of our taxpayers’ dollars. That’s almost $1,000 for each Whittier household. 

Whittier voters, please vote by April 14th for James Becerra for Mayor, Vicky Santana for City Council Dist. 2, and Aida Macedo for Dist. 4.
