Above is exactly why most residents, in Teesdale, Lethbridge and Meredith reside here.  They are truly special locations, rich with flora and fauna, wonderful communities, wide open spaces, and the quiet peaceful way of life of a country town.

• Acciona propose to place 60 x 271m tall wind turbines between our three small, but growing, townships. If you find it hard to imagine how tall that is, they will be 3.5 times taller than the light towers of the MCG. 

This will impact

1. the abundant and rich flora and fauna (some endangered)
2. the use of our regional airport which supports all emergency services, especially during fires and serious accidents,
3. the quiet peaceful life style of our residents, the very reason we moved here.
4. the projected growth of our townships 

“We say NO! to any wind farm proposed between the three townships affecting the very tranquillity and ambience we all love.”  

We ask Acciona, the Golden Plains Shire Councilors, and the Victorian State Government, to respect our right to enjoy the Quality of Life we enjoy and the choice we made to live in a regional countryside.

While we understand Green Energy is here to stay and has its place, there are many suitable locations within the shire that do not impact on communities the way this proposal will.  These sites have ready made infrastructure, better road access, and will not create the community disturbance as this proposal will.
