Dear Riverhead Town Board,

NO to a looming five story luxury hotel!

YES to a community Science Center!

We are residents of Riverhead who are deeply disturbed by your presumptuous process that is destroying the purpose of the Town Square to create a community enhancing vista from Main Street to the Peconic river.  We urge you to listen to people at the June 10 hearing if they urge you to not grant permits for construction of a 94 room tourist hotel that will overwhelm the square, the Suffolk Theater and the East End Arts Council.  We also urge you to take seriously testimony at the May 20 hearing and not use eminent domain to destroy the Science Center to benefit an unrevealed private developer.
