As you know, the hoardings have gone up on Bradfield Park Central to accommodate the ramp construction depot. Our appeals to Premier Chris Minns have fallen flat - and our follow ups ignored. The Leader of the Opposition Mark Speakman also contacted Minns on our behalf - again no response. The Hon Natalie Ward MLC posed a question to Josh Murray, Secretary for Transport for NSW in the Budget Estimates Committee on 3 September. Mr Murray was asked was he aware of community concerns and would he meet us? After some to-ing and fro-ing, Murray only offered “….to look into it and ensure the right person has met with them”. So nothing useful so far from this state government. We are being held as far away as possible.

Yet I am not willing to admit defeat. I’m hoping that a new North Sydney Council will advocate for us in this matter and save our parks. If you are voting on 14 Sep, please consider supporting the CommUnity 1st team in Cammeraygal Ward and James Spenceley in St Leonards Ward.

In hope, Ian
