Dear Supporters, while we await the Heritage Council’s decision on the Linear Ramp, it is worth noting yesterday’s landmark ruling by the NSW Land and Environment Court in support of retaining the heritage significance of the MLC building in North Sydney.
I hope the heritage features of Milsons Point, its parkland and the approaches to the Sydney Harbour Bridge are similarly safeguarded by the Heritage Council and it rejects a linear bike ramp, instead recommending our Community Cycle Ramp, an Australian design compliant solution that does no harm – a Win/Win solution.
It would be worth reminding government of our continued interest in this cause. Please email any or all of the following:
Transport Minister The Hon. Jo Haylen MP https://www.nsw.gov.au/nsw-government/ministers/minister-for-transport
Heritage Minister The Hon. Penny Sharpe MLC https://www.nsw.gov.au/nsw-government/ministers/minister-environment-heritage
Mayor Zoe Baker, Nth Sydney Council mayor@northsydney.nsw.gov.au
best wishes, Ian
