SAVE OUR SE9 TRAIN SERVICES

SAVE OUR SE9 TRAIN SERVICES
The Issue
Direct off-peak and weekend services from Eltham to Charing Cross will end, and peak Sidcup line services will be halved, when Southeastern's new timetable starts on 11 December.
Southeastern Trains are intending to end direct train services off-peak and at weekends to Charing Cross from the Bexleyheath line (including Bexleyhealth, Welling, Falconwood, Eltham and Kidbrooke when their new time-table starts on 11 December.
This is a much-valued service for local residents visiting central London for business, employment and leisure and essential for those with mobility issues.
On the Sidcup line, peak (taken as 7.00am–9.30am) time direct trains from New Eltham and Mottingham to Charing Cross are reduced – from 13 to nine, Rush hour trains are very likely to experience over-crowding as a result.
