My name is Ben Huckstepp, I’m the club captain of West Harbour Rugby Club. Canada Bay Council plans to dismantle our goalposts at  Concord Oval, the tallest goalposts in the Southern Hemisphere which were originally installed for the 1987 Rugby World Cup.

The Concord Oval hosted five games during the first Rugby World Cup in 1987 and has played a pivotal role in the development of the Australian Rugby Union. We urgently need your help to preserve a piece of our nation's rugby history. Proper maintenance can protect our posts.

We are urging the Canada Bay Council council to revamp and maintain the posts, instead of outright removal.
