To all supporters of our campaign to Save Our Museum and keep it free for everyone at anytime
Today we have a big development in the campaign to save the Museum of Oxford!
We put in a Freedom of Information request to Oxford City Council for the museum's income, expenditure and footfall. The figures we were sent were very surprising. Councillors have been claiming that the Museum of Oxford's costs have been running out of control, it's not pulling its fundraising weight and it's not attracting enough visitors. It turns out that none of this is supported by the data.

Then write to your Councillor. Ask them to reverse the decision to introduce charging and instead work in partnership with the museum staff to find other ways to fill the funding shortfall, while preserving free access for the people of Oxford.
Nearly 1900 people have now signed this petition. Let's make sure the Council don't get away with misrepresenting and defunding this incredibly valuable, unique and much-loved Oxford institution.
Thank you for your continuing support and please keep sharing the petition
