Devon County Council’s Cabinet were due to discuss the mobile libraries again today in line with their constitution, but instead they decided to defer it to the next meeting in a month’s time Wed 8th Nov, 10.30am at County Hall.

Individual members of the public sent the cabinet a total of 25 separate questions to today’s meeting in relation to the mobile libraries and none of them were answered. Not only this, but they even had the cheek to tell us that all of the those questions need to be formally submitted again for the November meeting! They clearly are not keen to answer them. But this also means we have more time for more people to submit even more questions.

Every member of the public can ask one question to cabinet, and these must be emailed to karen.strahan@devon.gov.uk

There is no requirement for you to attend the meeting. The deadline to submit questions is 12noon Thursday 2nd November.

The link to the questions that were asked prior to today’s meeting can be found here, but don’t expect to find any answers!: https://democracy.devon.gov.uk/documents/b15414/Questions%20from%20Members%20of%20the%20Public%2011th-Oct-2023%2010.30%20Cabinet.pdf?T=9

New Update: We have now been contacted by the county council’s Democratic services to say that all questions will be automatically resubmitted to the meeting in November.
