Today marks one year since I launched this petition to "Save Our Local Post Office at Chadstone Shopping Centre". I am pleased to share some exciting news with you all!

After keeping in touch with Australia Post’s CEO and executive team, I can now confirm that Australia Post will be reopening in Chadstone Shopping Centre in a new model format, expected around June 2025! 

This new concept will support parcel sending and receiving, with full parcel processing and packaging available on site. It will also include 24/7 parcel locker access to provide added convenience for both local residents and Chadstone shoppers.

It represent a real step forward and shows Australia Post’s commitment to maintaining a presence in our local area. It’s certainly better than having no access at all. Australia Post began as a service for sending and receiving letters and parcels, so it’s great to see that core offering still being provided at Chadstone Shopping Centre.

I’m genuinely hopeful this will bring some relief and convenience to many of us who rely on these posting services.

This is a win for our community, and it wouldn’t have happened without your support. Thank you to everyone who signed, shared and spoke up to help bring back this essential local service. Your support has made a difference.
