KNDU interview: Labor Union supports the wind farm for temporary jobs. The project timeline is 2 years. When the project is completed there will be only 2-4 employees on a rotation basis for maintenance. Has the Labor Union thought of the labor in the fields, orchards, farms, vineyards, our food chain that will be impacted for beyond our lifetime on the destruction of our climate (raised temperatures- they use small turbines in the orchards and vineyards to warm during frost time now) and the destruction of migrating birds from South America to the North Pole and the destruction of the shrub steppe of the animals  that need steppe cover.  As for energy our hydro dams in Washington state produce clean energy enough for our area and the western Washington coast and still sell excess. The energy produced by turbines is minimal (CA rolling brown outs anyone?) The big picture is cut the locals out of decision making, install non biodegradable turbines to benefit foreign investors and corporates benefiting by tax credits. 

Margaret mentions the lack of awareness of the public of this project. The environmental impact statement to be released by our state government is expected to be released about Thanksgiving time with a 45 day window for comments that would be during the holiday time. Its an interesting time to release such impacting news.
