Some of you may have signed this petition last fall (don't worry, your signature is still intact!). At the time, we were working on promoting the proposed lease of the Excelsior Springs Memorial Airport (3EX), and moving the process along toward renovation.

Now, we have been faced with a sudden closure situation. With no notice given even to the City's own airport board, the City has scheduled discussion of the airport closure for a work session on Friday, February 1st at City Hall at 7:30am, with a vote possibly occurring on Monday, February 4th at 6pm at City Hall in the Council Chambers. Both meetings are open to the public. Please sign this petition to SAVE OUR AIRPORT. Costs of closure (and associated legal fees that are already being incurred) will likely significantly exceed costs to renovate and allow the airport to flourish.
