ICCHA means WISH in Sanskrit. IT IS TIME TO DEMAND A CHANGE! Too many lives have been lost due to limited access to timely cardiac treatment at our regional Royal Inland Hospital (RIH). Cardiac patients are forced to endure a 2.5-hour journey by ambulance from Kamloops or Kelowna General Hospital. Currently, precious time is wasted after a heart attack as patients wait at the ICCHA-WISH Coronary Care Unit at RIH, anxiously awaiting transportation.

Let us unite as a community and demand from our government and Interior Health Authority that our regional TERTIARY Royal Inland Hospital be equipped with the necessary resources, expertise, and facilities needed to establish the ICCHA-WISH Cardiac Care Catheterization Lab so that our cardiac patients can be diagnosed and treated locally. The ICCHA-WISH Fund has already raised over $650,000 for this project and our goal is to raise over $1 million dollars.
