Local residents, the Croxley Green Residents Association, Cllr Chris Mitchell, Cheryl Stungo and Croxley Green Parish Council councillors all spoke passionately about the real world impact this scheme would have on our village.
Although the hearing itself is now over, the Planning Inspector has a vast amount of evidence to review before writing their report. It will likely be several months before we hear the final outcome.
I sincerely hope the Inspector weighs every piece of that evidence with the seriousness it deserves, and ultimately does the right thing for Croxley by turning down this development. It will change Croxley forever for all existing residents.
Weighing the economics against the detriment to Croxley, there is only one decision, and that is to turn down a development that would wreck wildlife in a protected green belt area, with no infrastructure in place for dwellings of this capacity.
It took ten years for Millside Grange to gain planning permission, and that was for roughly 180 homes, compared to the 600 dwellings proposed here.
