I am a long time lover of our Black Bears here in Tennessee. Been learning about bears and love to see the wondering free in the wild, teaching their little ones how to forage for food and feed themselves when they leave mama. 

Lately around here all I hear about is aggressive Bears and bears getting into trash bins that is not bear safe, passing through yards in the Smoky Mountains with their babies, and campgrounds etc. 

My point is all these bears have been euthanized for none other than being bears, and protecting their babies as any mama should. 

I want to put an end to bears being euthanized! Instead relocate them to a part of the forest in the Smokies where they can find plenty of food sources, or try anything other than death to save them.

Tourist who vacation here in the Smokies or any wilderness for that matter, should respect the wildlife and learn how to be bearwise and animal wise while camping, visiting or living in the mountains. And lately I hear alot of non sense going on with protecting our bears. A lady shook a chair at a mama with cubs, naturally her instinct is to protect her babies from harm, lady got scratched and later mama was found by TWRA and euthanized. She should have just went in house and let them pass through, and babies would still have their mama. 

Campground in Hampton, TN had a bear in trash and searching for food. Later found and euthanized. 

Elkmont campground on the Smokies, family had food in tent and not in bear safe containers and bear followed his nose and went into tent to get food. Scratched a mom and kid, later found euthanized. 

Appalachian Bear Rescue recently received 3 adorable triplet girls, cause mom was euthanized due to trash. 

Couple years ago up at Park Vista Hotel a mama and three cubs who were on the property were all euthanized for eating out of dumpster.

All so not cool!!!

They've said all these bears were aggressive, but the only aggressive thing I see is bears being bears. The GSMNP is where you go to see beautiful mountains and view wildlife at a safe distance. If our bears keep dying do to the lack of people's common sense, there will be nothing to see in the wilderness. 

Please help try to put a stop to bears being euthanized for nothing other than being bears!

I just want bears to be safe and free to roam about. If we're have to learn to coexist with coyotes etc. Than why not learn to coexist with bears too. Bear can't plead their own case so I am doing it for them to protect them. I STAND UP FOR THE BEARS!
