Save Our Gay Bar!

Save Our Gay Bar!
Why this petition matters
As Crawley’s one and only gay bar, we pride ourselves on being a venue that supports the rights and inclusivity of our guests that form our LBGTQ+ community and our allies.
Recent planning permission upon our venue puts our safe place at risk. We still do not know if this is going to de approved or rejected, so here we are asking for everyone’s help in saving our venue.
The decision by the council has now been delayed until after Crawley Pride, which we are proud supporters and allies of. We have even looked at new venues in Crawley Town and have been told by the council that there are too many bars on the high street of Crawley yet there is no where for us to go.
In the past the LGBTQ community has suffered great losses, blame, and abuse across the world. Now if the past has taught us anything is not to lay down and accept being treated as a minority. It’s taught us to be who we are, be loud & proud, be different because we will and continue to welcome anyone that wants a space to have a wonderful time without fear or worry.
This year marks our 10 year anniversary of Bar 7, we are hosting the VIP experience at Crawley Pride and we are so looking forward to it.
By saving our venue or supporting in moving to a new venue we can continue to provide a safe space that people can enjoy no matter what your identification is, your sexuality or your pronoun.
Sign our petition today and show your support and share our solidarity in saving the only LGBTQ+ bar in Crawley. It can also help us if we have to potentially find a new venue in applying applications to Crawley Council.
