I feel a need to stand up and say something to our government regarding masks and the forced mandating of them. I know many feel masks are vital to the health and safety of our communities. I have no desire to take away from the others their freedom to wear a mask. Just as I have no desire for someone to take away my freedom NOT to wear one.

My main concern is the force placed by our government in some of Utah counties for us to wear masks. This is happening despite all the conflicting evidence if  masks really are beneficial and if they are actually needed during the current COVID situation. It seems as though the numbers of deaths in our state of Utah are similar to flu deaths over the last several years. The outcomes of disease and death have not infiltrated our state in expected ways. The strict measures of mandated mask-wearing seem unnecessary and extremely invasive to the individual and the community on the whole. 

While I support those who want to wear a mask, I believe our government forcing us to do anything outside of our personal freedoms named in our constitutional rights is setting a bad precedence and creating more fear and panic than needed. 

We are asking that the Governor and other government bodies to release all cities from the ability to enforce mandatory masks giving each individual the liberty and freedom to decide mask-wearing or not for themselves.
