From a personal standpoint, as someone who deeply understands nature and the severe consequences brought about by deforestation, I am raising this petition. Our environment, our beautiful nature, more specifically our forests and trees, are in grave danger due to mass deforestation.

Deforestation is not just about losing our beautiful forests; it's about losing the essential elements that make life sustainable on our planet. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), about 18 million acres of forest, which is roughly the size of Panama, are lost each year due to deforestation. Apart from contributing to 15% of all greenhouse gas emissions, deforestation destroys habitats, leading to a loss of biodiversity, and disrupts natural cycles of the earth.

Its consequences are already blatant in my life and those around me. I am sure that many of you reading this petition can echo these sentiments. For this reason, I am compelled to raise this petition to Save Our Forests and Preserve Our Trees.
