Urgent Call to Action: Protecting Our Children in Erie, PA

Dear Members of the Erie Community,

I am writing to you today as a mother fearing for children's safety regarding the practices of Miranda Galbreath, a licensed professional counselor and sex therapist operating as Sexual Wellness PA, LLC.

A 2022 YouTube video featuring Ms. Galbreath has brought her views into the public spotlight. In the video, she defended what she referred to as "minor-attracted persons" and stated that they are "probably the most vilified population of folks in our culture."

This language is deeply troubling. Using euphemisms like "minor-attracted" downplays the severity of child sexual abuse and can be seen as an attempt to normalize a dangerous and harmful attraction. It is a fundamental responsibility of mental health professionals to prioritize the safety of the community, especially children.

The controversy surrounding this video was so significant that it drew the attention of a Pennsylvania State Senator, who called Ms. Galbreath's views are "reprehensible."

This is not a matter of private therapy; it is a matter of community safety. When a therapist’s public statements appear to minimize the threat of child sexual abuse, it raises serious questions about their professional judgment and their ability to protect children.

We must send a clear message that the safety and well-being of our children are our highest priority. I am asking for your support in a petition to urge the relevant authorities to conduct a full investigation into Ms. Galbreath's practices.
