Two of our local Shrewsbury Ontario residents have been served by a bylaw officer to get rid of their chickens or be fined. 

There are a number of local residents that have chickens as pets and they do no harm. One of these neighbors that was served has been raising his chickens for 21 years (he is also the owner of Frank the Shrewsbury Chicken). 

A lot of communities are making this change to allow residents to raise their own chickens for eggs and meat. They also make wonderful pets.

Please sign this petition ASAP to allow our local counselors that are trying to help us, bring it forward at their meeting on Monday January 16.
