The Issue

Gage Park Library has been a part of our community for over 35 years. It’s more than just a building it’s been a safe space, a learning hub, and a second home for so many of us growing up in the neighborhood.

Unfortunately, after the heavy rain on July 25th, the building was severely damaged. What makes this even harder is that Gage Park Library is the only library in Chicago that doesn’t own the building it's in, which puts its future at risk.

Please take a moment to sign this petition. Together, we can help protect a space that has given so much to the community and make sure it stays standing for the next generation.
