Our lovely little colony of neutered cats at the Church car park opposite the Valley Lodge is under threat. The Parish Priest and the Parish Committee want the cats removed from the car park. They have cut down all the hedges where we had placed the cat shelters and they have ordered us to remove all shelters and told us we are no longer allowed to feed them. There is nowhere for the cats to go and the parish committee knows this, they are aware the cats will starve and die if removed and they don't care.

The colony is completely neutered and under control now unlike a few years ago when there were far more cats, none of which were neutered . It took a lot of hard work and funding from ourselves, MSPCA, Steadfast Vets and donations from local people to get to this stage. We are not sure what has prompted the committee to do this now as nothing was done a few years ago when the problem was completely out of control.
