I’m trying to bring awareness to the lies that the USDA are spreading about how avian Influenza isn’t treatable. They say it’s incurable and there are no available vaccines for the disease. They are also telling people birds shed the disease for longer than they actually do, which is 14-17 days. After the 14-17 days poultry no longer sheds the virus which means they cannot spread it once it’s gone.On January 24th 2023. I called the Penn state diagnostic lab to come test my Chickens,Ducks and Geese for bird flu. I lost all of my chickens but one within a very short period of time. I wasn’t sure what was happening and was told by multiple people I have to call Penn state diagnostics lab which then referred us to the USDA to have them tested.They came to my house and tested all of my birds.The following evening the tests came back positive of avian flu. They then said they want to come the following day to kill the rest of the birds.Not knowing much about the avian flu I did some research and discovered that birds can overcome the sickness and it only stays with them for 14-17 days. I then came in contact with a Waterfowl Sanctuary in the United Kingdom who has been using a supplement called Baicalin to treat waterfowl who were showing signs or had the avian flu with amazing results. When I spoke with the Veterinarian Heather Palm of the USDA about these treatments and that birds with avian flu can and do recover. She adamantly denied that treatments or recovery is a possibility and said that the only course of action is to Slaughter the birds. She insisted on coming to murder my birds by breaking their necks and I told her I was no longer going to cooperate and she didn’t have consent to touch my birds. I told her I was going to treat my birds and nurse them back to health. I offered them to come back at a later date to retest them. A few days later I got a knock on my door from the police and USDA with a search warrant to carry out their burning desire to kill my birds. Due to their incompetence they were unable to catch any of the birds so they called the USDA wildlife officer to come with guns to shoot my birds. Fast forward 2 weeks we noticed a white truck spying on the house and property. The very next day they came with yet another search warrant to kill the birds who I assumed they already murdered. Dr Jeff Bissett DVM of the USDA explained to me that they were unable to carry out their psychotic desire to kill the birds when they served the first search warrant. I don’t know if they are lying to me and actually did kill my birds or just harassing me.They are now harassing me about my birds who I’m grieving. I live in fear wondering if they are going to return with another search warrant to harass me and invade my privacy once again.These people are evil in every sense. They do not help animals, they murder them. And they will trample all over your rights to do so. This agency needs to change their policy on how they handle bird flu cases. It may be too late for my birds but hopefully with enough signatures on this petition we can bring awareness to this issue and persuade them to change their policies and protocol.
