The lemon tree is on 7News and it seems to be accepted by the NB council

The lemon tree case has been made it to the 7News Bight Side section:

The NB Council has also deemed the tree to be safe and not being an obstruction either on the footpath or the road. So it's a victory on its own, but the petition should be running a little longer, hoping to collect 1000+ signatures in case there's a possibility to place it under environment protection.
