Beacon Bingo Margate to close with 25+ jobs at risk. Beacon Bingo on Margate seafront is set to close shocking hundreds of regular players. The venue which is the oldest bingo venue in Thanet, is due to cease calling on April 6th. The business has over 25 employees, who at this moment are doubting their future. I have always loved attending this bingo hall for the last 11 years and have made some amazing life long friends. The staff are not just staff, they care and love all the patrons that come to Bingo and create the loving and comfortable atmosphere we have come to cherish. Losing this bingo hall will not only reduce Margate towns fun atmosphere, but will put a lot of elderly, disabled and loyal customers at a loose end. Majority of the customers that attend Beacon Bingo use the warming and enjoyable fun to escape day to day tribulations. A loss this great could cause a lot of people to become house bound and loose their second home. This petition is to Save Beacon Bingo and keep the staff and patrons their beloved freedom and love.
