We, the undersigned students, parents, alumni, and supporters of University Christian High School, strongly urge the administration to reconsider the decision to transition the Athletic Director position to a part-time role. Managing a competitive high school athletic program is far more than a full-time job. Jacob Wadsworth has dedicated himself tirelessly to UCHS, not only managing athletic operations and coaching multiple sports, but also serving as conference president and earning the deep respect and affection of our student-body. Downgrading this vital position to part-time will make it impossible to maintain the high standards, organization, and safety our athletes deserve. A thriving, competitive sports program is essential to attracting new families and fostering school growth. Under Coach Wadsworth's leadership, UCHS Athletics was heading in the right direction—eliminating full-time athletic leadership now will set our school back years, diminish student opportunities, and harm future enrollment. We call on UCHS leadership to keep the Athletic Director position full-time and retain Jacob Wadsworth.
