We need your help to save the Alki Starbucks location at 2742 Alki Avenue SW, scheduled to close on August 11, 2024. This decision will significantly impact our community, and we urge Starbucks to reconsider.

Why This Matters:

• Community Hub: The Alki Beach Starbucks is more than just a coffee shop; it's a central gathering place for our community. It provides a space for friends to meet, families to connect, and neighbors to come together.
• Local Economy: The Alki Starbucks significantly boosts the local economy by attracting visitors and supporting nearby businesses. Its closure will create a void felt by many, especially remote workers who use it as a hub to take a break from their home offices.
• Convenience: This location is a convenient stop for a cup of coffee or a quick bite for many residents and visitors. Closing it will force customers to travel further, impacting their daily routines and decreasing our neighborhood's walkability.
• Employee Impact: While Starbucks has assured that employees can transfer to other locations, the closure still disrupts their work environment and community connections.

We understand that Starbucks needs to make strategic decisions about its store portfolio, but we believe the Alki Beach location is vital to our community.

We ask Starbucks to reconsider this closure and explore other options, such as renovation or relocation within the Alki Beach area.
