Hundreds of you waited in long lines to get into the 8/28 meeting and were turned away due to fire safety/capacity concerns - we apologize that not everyone could get in. The Neighborhood Council said the next meeting will be held in a larger venue in order to accommodate a larger crowd. We are grateful for your support as you rallied outside in solidarity. Westchester has a voice and we used it!
During the meeting, we put pressure on the City Planners as they presented incorrect information about what could actually be built in Osage. They displayed a map of Osage and a correspondence table that showed allowable builds up to 3 stories in height - but, that is only part of the puzzle - they failed to mention any city/state policies that allow for much larger developments.
The Community Alliance - Westchester Playa has a much better plan for our community unlike the unimaginative plan offered by the city.
