Jake Filmer started this petition to The park warehouse great yarmouth landlord. and

Back in 2001 Great Yarmouth was given an indoor skate park, which was a life saver for the local skateboarders. It helped to keep us off the streets and gave us a chance to do what we love in a good environment. Originally, 'The Parkwarehouse' was owned by a chap called Roger Smalley who frequently held professional demos, competitions etc which helped us to be productive with our passion as well as allowing more people to pick up the hobby. Since then it has been used by people of all ages, from all over the country.

Over the years it changed hands and sadly became 'run to the ground' from lack of care and also had zero special events.

Due to the state of it, the park has recently become permanently closed without any form of warning. Myself, as well as many locals have always been well prepared to contribute to fixing and cleaning it in order to get it back to scratch.

It was once voted 'the best, cleanest skate park in the U.K' and 'Simply the best park in the country' - Sidewalk magazine issue 73.

After its sudden, unannounced closure, last month it has said to have already had its ramps etc removed. It is very sad for all of those who grew up skating it, especially now we don't have one for a very long distance. Our next closest indoor park is built more for bmx riders.

As a person who has personally grew up skateboarding at the park warehouse I know that our thriving skate scene will severely struggle.

So lets pull together, sign & share this petition to show that there is a huge level of local skateboarders who are desperate to keep this well needed place.
