A secret consensus document was submitted by the College of Registered Psychotherapists (CRPO) and 5 other regulatory Colleges, to Ontario’s Minister of Health Dr. Eric Hoskins by his deadline of December 31st, 2015. This has been confirmed for us by CRPO. NO ONE IS PERMITTED A COPY OF THIS SECRET CONSENSUS DOCUMENT... especially not the hundreds of thousands of people who are directly and negatively affected by it. The Minister of Health is absolutely determined to proclaim the Controlled Act of Psychotherapy, despite it’s unlawfulness. Help us continue to expose this unconstitutional scheme that aims to, in conjunction with the TPP and TISA trade deals, reduce every living human being in Ontario, and eventually worldwide, to the status of ‘mentally ill’ and on brain-damaging drugs. www.StopPsychotherapyTakeover.ca Last fall Dr. Hoskins ordered the 6 professional groups that are ‘authorized’ to do the controlled act of psychotherapy to decide amongst themselves what the controlled act of psychotherapy is and which practitioners you will be permitted to see for your mental healthcare needs. Apparently they will even decide arbitrarily what comprises a psychotherapeutic technique. The groups have been unable for 7 years to agree on even one ‘act’ involved in the practice of psychotherapy that is inherently ‘dangerous’, even though this is the mandatory criteria that must be met if an activity is to be legally ‘restricted’. This document is a coerced agreement to harm those who lawfully practice psychotherapy and to eliminate those who provide services that overlap with psychotherapy. Obviously, after 7 years there is hardly a consensus on what is a ‘dangerous act’ within the practice of psychotherapy. The Health Minister’s Deception Since not a single part of psychotherapy is ‘dangerous’ and in need of ‘control’, Dr. Hoskins decided that the entire profession could be sold to the public as needing regulatory control…and apparently he is not willing to consider the Constitutional rights of non-drug practitioners and the public itself to engage in perfectly safe healthcare modalities as they see fit. The Minister refuses to acknowledge the well-stated spirit and intent of the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991 that specifically states that no overlapping activities can be imposed on by the College of Registered Psychotherapists and that only single specifically identified ‘acts’ or ‘techniques’ can be ‘controlled, and only after being proven ‘dangerous’. It is clear from the documentation we have accessed (to be shared in later releases), that this Minister’s actions are scandalous and the psychotherapy legislation disgraceful in any democracy. Psychologists, Psychiatrists and their Secrets While it is perfectly lawful to practice psychotherapy or ANY activity that might overlap with psychotherapy, such as holistic education, hypnotherapy, Reiki, dietary supplementation, and to promote one’s services--as long as a practitioner does not imply they are a member of this unlawful College of Registered Psychotherapists--Cease and Desist letters went out to lawfully practicing psychotherapists who were not members of the College. And this ‘consensus’ document, ordered by the Minister, is only the latest of many secret activities by psychologists and psychiatrists to take over all mental healthcare in Ontario. Psychologists and Psychiatrists secretly framed the legislation, they secretly embedded it in a huge Omnibus Bill that no MPP had a chance to read, and they had the Psychotherapy Act secretly proclaimed on April 1st, 2015 without notice to the public. The College of Registered Psychotherapists have kept secret the fact that at least two members of the Ontario Marriage and Family Therapist Association were being paid to sit on the Transitional Council of the new College, in order to advance the agenda of the Council and coerce family therapists and marriage counselors to join the College. Family therapists advise that they were never told of this conflict of interest. AND this happened despite MOH officials advising the College that it was not the intent of the law to have marriage counselors, etc regulated by psychotherapists or this College.
