It is unacceptable, and dangerous to society as a whole, when ‘public consultations’ are designed to manufacture consensus and provide the illusion of meaningful public input AFTER legislation has been written. Contribute to our work at: www.StopPsychotherapyTakeover.ca A group of executives from 13 regulatory Colleges has made plans to regulate all Ontario healthcare clinics, with ‘clinic’ now defined as any location where one or more persons provide any healthcare services. Worse, even though natural healthcare has been proven completely safe, unregulated practitioners would be refused a ‘clinic’ license to operate. This working group is a major insult to what it means to be Canadian. Its agenda is to disempower and put into grave danger, all patients who want to make their own choices and to actually have options when they need them. Practitioners and patients in attendance were furious. She had the microphone turned off on her, and the ringleader lamented that there were no security personnel to have her removed, while some obvious ‘plants’ continuously interrupted her commentary. More facts showing that this working group’s public ‘consultations’ were not remotely legitimate or carried out in good faith: - 6 pm start times during the holiday season; - Entry into the consultation meeting required that everyone provide their names, profession and email address - more in keeping with a Saudi-style tribunal. Most practitioners were forced to give false information out of fear of reprisal; - The working group did not even bother to record their ‘consultations’. Instead, the public’s comments will be ‘interpreted’ by the working group and cherry-picked for inclusion in their ‘Notes’. - The Registrars of 13 Colleges did not so much as consult with their own members before appropriating College membership fees to the tune of a half million dollars in order, to finance an action that is a gross violation of personal liberties and the existing Regulated Health Professions Act. The Working Group was clearly told by everyone at the Ottawa consultation that no one wants these violations of their rights…but sure as the sun rises, the speaker twisted what everyone stated emphatically and retorted that ‘they would go back to the drawing board and look at other options’. In other words, they will manufacture the illusion of consent amongst practitioners. Clearly, the real agendas of this new proposed Regulatory body are: - To put all unregulated practitioners out of business…they will not be permitted a license to operate anywhere; - To force non-drug professionals to join Colleges that will then micro-manage their practices into bankruptcy and forced closings…after forcing them to accept warrantless trespass onto their property and an invasion into their privacy, records and very lives. - To make College membership conditional on giving up one’s right to privacy, to a moral character of their choice and of the right to offer their services as they wish to whom they wish. These Registrars have, as their ringleader admitted in Brampton, completely stepped beyond their mandate. They are ‘meddling’ and repeatedly demeaning unregulated professionals, while falling over themselves to replace: Financial Services Commission of Ontario Privacy Commissioner Police and the Criminal Code Insurance Fraud Investigators Revenue Canada Department of Labor Trade and Commerce Legislation Canadian Constitution Regulated Health Care Professions Act and Patient choice at an affordable price. There is no evidence that anyone needs to be ‘protected’ from practitioners anywhere in Ontario. There is NO evidence that Ontario Clinic Regulation could be remotely moral, ethical, required or in any way protecting the public. Help Now!
