Yesiree!… Attorney General of Ontario and MPP for Ottawa Vanier, Madeleine Meilleur, gave it to us straight in her September 9, 2015 letter to her constituent … “The Ministry will look to the professions to assist with defining what this activity [controlled act of psychotherapy] will mean to their members and the public with a view to ensuring that it is clear and transparent, so that patients will understand what kinds of treatment they can expect to receive.” Translation: in utter disregard for YOUR fundamental right to make your own decisions about healthcare treatments and practitioners, a legal carte blanche has been handed to the 6 ‘preferred’ groups (psychiatrists/MDs, psychologists, registered psychotherapists, nurses, social workers and occupational therapists) by the Minister of Health to decide for YOU what healthcare treatment you will have and from whom. If you didn’t give Premier Wynne control over your health, wellbeing and to decide for you what practitioners to see, especially when you pay out-of-pocket, please contribute to our fund at www.StopPsychotherapyTakeover.ca. Here is her other gem: “With regards to psychotherapists, the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario is being proclaimed without a ‘controlled act’. The College will be charged with bringing the sector together to determine what the ‘controlled acts’ are.” Translation: a previously non-existing profession will decide what a ‘witch’ looks like and who will be witch-hunted to financial ruin for the crime of being safe, preferred by the public and the main competition to CRPO members and the increasingly criminal medical/drug company industry. The law that was secretly passed in a huge Omnibus Bill in 2007 is now a legal weapon in the hands of individuals who will profit from eliminating their holistic competition from the healthcare scene in Ontario. They will be free to do as they wish, the instant it is proclaimed into force. Once the College decides who it will target using the already passed Controlled Act of Psychotherapy, expect the controlled act to be proclaimed and immediately enforced. Of all the legislators in provincial government who should know that this violates our Constitution in many ways, it is the Attorney-General. She and Premier Wynne, together with the man who ‘carries their water’ in this, the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care, Dr. Eric Hoskins, are wiping their feet on our Constitution and daring us to stop them.
