Armadillos are barrel-shaped animals covered with natural armor. In fact, its name in Spanish means “little armored one.” The armadillo’s armor works well against most predators.

   Unfortunately armadillos are not protected in Oklahoma and may be trapped or shot all year. This is a horrible truth, armadillos are not going to hurt us, they’re just trying to get their groove on like every other living being on this planet. Armadillos are not dangerous animals and killing them is not essential. They pose no real threat to humans or animals. This is why live trapping would be the best option. 

    Help us make it illegal to kill armadillos in Oklahoma. We must understand how to remove these innocent animals into new environments instead of killing them.
