Save North Miami Senior High

Save North Miami Senior High
The Issue
Protect Our School. Protect Our Students. Protect Public Education.
We, the undersigned students, parents, alumni, teachers, residents, and supporters of public education, oppose the proposed charter school co-location plan involving Success Academy operating on the campus of North Miami Senior High School.
For generations, North Miami Senior High has served as a cornerstone of education, community service, leadership, and pride for countless families throughout North Miami and surrounding communities. The school stands as a testament to the dedication and perseverance of the students, educators, staff, and families who have walked its halls and contributed to its legacy.
The proposed co-location plan threatens valuable classroom space, student resources, school culture, and public education funding. Critical educational facilities could be reduced or repurposed, limiting the school's ability to provide the robust academic, athletic, arts, and extracurricular opportunities our students deserve.
Our community already faces significant challenges related to educational funding, affordability, and student support services. Any reduction in resources could negatively impact student achievement, educational opportunities, and the overall school environment. Many students rely on North Miami Senior High not only for education, but also for stability, mentorship, extracurricular activities, college preparation, and access to essential support services.
North Miami Senior High belongs to this community. Decisions affecting its future should not be made without full transparency, meaningful community engagement, and careful consideration of the impact on current and future students.
Therefore, we respectfully demand:
• Immediate suspension of any charter school co-location plans at North Miami Senior High School
• Full public disclosure of all agreements, contracts, enrollment projections, and campus space allocation plans
• Public town hall meetings and community hearings before any implementation
• Protection of all existing classrooms, programs, student services, extracurricular activities, and campus resources
• Continued investment in traditional public schools and the students they serve
Our students deserve support, investment, opportunity, and a strong public education system.
Join us in protecting the future of North Miami Senior High School.
SIGN THE PETITION TODAY.
MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD.
Together, we can preserve the legacy, traditions, and educational opportunities that have made North Miami Senior High a pillar of our community for generations.
