My name is Cheryl Springer. On January 14, 2025 Nipsey (canine) was at the Deer lick Dog park in Douglasville, Georgia. He was viciously attacked by a  cane corso. Nipsey wasn’t actually in the fight. It was between a pitbull and the cane corso. Nipsey was bitten on his back by the cane corso then drug by his throat. Nipsey is a 9 month old Staffordshire. He is a very sweet, loving puppy and also an emotional support animal for myself, my son and my elderly mother. He has never shown any form of aggression and also lives with a cat that runs him lol. He lets her eat from his bowl first and will go lay down and wait for her to go. Nipsey had a rough start when we got him and had parasites but I nursed him back to health and $4500.00. I pride myself on how well mannered and loving he is. In the event, the corso owner was “bitten” supposedly and since my information is the only one she got (which was because I thought it was for my dog being attacked by hers) she’s blaming my puppy for a severe bite that she refused to show me and now Animal Control is trying to deem my 9 month old puppy vicious and have him put down. She drove home and the was no signs of an injury (blood or torn jacket, nothing) He’s never been in any type of situation like this. Douglas county Animal control is holding him against my wishes and refusing to let me see him. It’s taking a toll on my mental health and well being. I’ve been diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer and he is my earthly lifeline to keep pushing everyday when I don’t feel like getting out of the bed sometimes. He does not deserve this and is terrified in there. He needs to be home. I couldn’t even doctor his wounds from the attack. This goes to trial next week on February 6th and need this to be shared and signed expeditiously. He did not do this and deserves to live out his life!

my dog is the only one being held. No accountability for the cane corso attacking my dog or the other dog. other dog is not being held either. My pup is there now awaiting court. It is very sketchy and feels like a scam by the corso owner.
