Save Newburgh’s School Leaders – Stop the Unjust Removal of 16 Administrators!
The Issue
To: Newburgh Enlarged City School District Board of Education, Acting Superintendent Dr.Lisa Buon, and Community Leaders
Sign this petition to demand transparency and fairness for our school administrators!
What’s Happening?
On March 19, 2025, 16 dedicated administrators in the Newburgh Enlarged City School District were directed to Human Resources, where they were told they would either:
• Be asked to resign,
• Be fired, or
• Be offered an interview for a new position with no guarantees.
This group includes:
5 Building Principals
8 Directors
3 Assistant Principals
These administrators have no negative evaluations, no due process, and no explanation for these actions—yet they are being pushed out without warning.
Why This is Wrong
• Lack of Transparency – The district has not provided a clear reason for these actions.
• Disrupting Our Schools – Losing 16 key leaders at once will create instability for students, teachers, and families.
• No Due Process – These administrators have been given no chance to defend themselves before facing forced resignations or terminations.
• Major Leadership Crisis – This decision guts the leadership of Newburgh schools, impacting education quality and school operations.
We Demand Immediate Action!
We, the undersigned, call on the Newburgh Board of Education and Acting Superintendent to:
1. Immediately halt the forced resignations and terminations.
2. Provide a public explanation for these actions and allow administrators to respond.
3. Ensure a fair and transparent process for any personnel decisions moving forward.
Take a Stand for Our Schools!
Our school leaders deserve respect, fairness, and due process—not secretive decisions that affect their careers and the future of our students.
