Save New Ash Green's Children's Centre

The Issue

The crucial care and support that is vital for families and carers in Ash and New Ash Green is under threat as Kent County Council plan to close our Children's Centre.

Families and carers who can't drive or don't own a car will be unable to access services from neighbouring towns and villages due to the pretty much non-existent public transport options we have from the village.

Please help save our Children's Centre by taking these four steps:

1. Sign this petition

2. Share this petition: www.change.org/nagchildren

3. Respond to the consultation by 26th March: https://letstalk.kent.gov.uk/community-services-consultation

4. Join the protest against the closure at 2pm on Sunday 5th Feb at the children's centre

Meet 2pm Sun 5th Feb at the Children's Centre to protest its closure

Protest - this will be in the form of a photo and short video to demonstrate the strength of feeling of protecting out Children's Centre.

Consultation - the consultation document is some 116 pages long which clearly makes it unaccessible for many people for all kinds of reasons. The questions are framed so that people are asked whether it is a good idea for the Council to save money. The questionnaire doesn't address the real issues like what impact the closure of our Children's Centre will have. Please be sure to enter any concerns like this into free text fields so that these things are highlighted to the Council regardless.

Thank you
